Qualifications: Veterinary
Technician: Familiar with the use and/or
purchase of clinic products (pharms, bios, blood
chemistry, etc.)
Computer Skills: Computer
literate, AS400 is the system we currently use
(knowledge of AS400 is not a requirement), Word
/ Excel
Telephone Skills: Good
communication skills, Ability to give and
receive information quickly and accurately

The Greater Birmingham Humane Society
is looking for a person who is able to handle the
work and care of our livestock, mostly equine, at
our Mount Olive Barn. The animals in our care are
from cruelty cases that have been confiscated by the
Jefferson County Sheriff Office. Most of the
animals are in poor condition and need special
diets, medical care and hands on comforting. We
would like someone with good equine experience and a
willingness to work hard . Candidates considered
for the position will have reference checks,
pre-hire drug test and a background check.
