Duties: The technician will assist in teaching and supervising students to facilitate learning of skills and medical procedures on large animal patients, teaching and research animals. The technician will be a member of a comprehensive team that provides care to all large animal patients and will assist in all areas of the large animal hospital with a primary role in equine medicine. Some lifting and manipulation of equipment and/or animals is required. Candidate must be capable of standing for prolonged periods of time and some physical activity will be required. All technicians provide medical, surgical, anesthetic, nursing care as needed and assist in performing specialized diagnostic procedures for large animal patients, and fee entry and inventory control.

Qualifications: The applicant must be a graduate of an AVMA accredited veterinary technology training program and obtain a license in Tennessee within one year of employment.
